1Call - Up to the HIPAA Challenge

The 1Call Division of AMTELCO is committed to ensuring that all 1Call
systems meet the requirements of the Health Insurance Portability and
Accountability Act (HIPAA) of 1996, helping you make sure that your facility
is compliant.
1Call has appointed a HIPAA Compliance Team whose primary function is
to verify that all of the 1Call products meet these requirements. The
HIPAA Compliance Team reports directly to the Director R&D Software
in order to certify compliance.
As all of the 1Call products already have many security items in place,
the expectation is that major software changes will not be necessary to
certify HIPAA compliancy. While HIPAA will require enterprise-wide changes
at healthcare facilities, 1Call will continue to work with each individual
facility to ensure that their 1Call system is ready to help their facility
meet HIPAA requirements.
An Infinity HIPAA Readiness Disclosure is available for customers. This
document takes a detailed look at the Infinity system and system components,
and what is being done to certify HIPAA Compliance.
